Trump claims Israel and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire
Hours after Iran targeted a U.S. military base in Qatar today, President Donald Trump said on social media that Iran and Israel had agreed to a total ceasefire. The ceasefire Trump announced was the result of negotiations by him and Vice President JD Vance, with top Qatari leaders taking the proposal to Iran, a diplomat briefed on the talks told NBC News.
