President Biden announces Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire deal
President Joe Biden announced that Israel and Lebanon’s Iran-backed militia Hezbollah agreed to a United States-brokered ceasefire. Biden said civilians will be able to safely return to their homes after the conflict killed thousands and displaced over a million.
